In the best area of the beach in Punta Francés, in Cuba's main coastal resort, stands the Paradisus Varadero Hotel, which is harmoniously integrated into a natural environment of gardens and exuberant vegetation. As a complement to the establishment's offers, the marinas Gaviota and Chapelin are three and four kilometers, respectively, from the hotel. The hotel is 30 kilometers from Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport, which is the main airway to the resort.

“5* Hotel??? What a joke, I'd rate it 3* & that's being very generous ”
We stayed here in August, upon arrival there was works to the reception foyer & toilets, which lasted for our entire 7 days stay. The room we were allocated for 3 Adults was a joke, electric fittings hanging off the walls, air conditioning smelling very moisty, a 'so called bed' a concrete slab which an adult was supposed to have slept on. This room was supposed to have been newly renovated, 'erm, I don't think so'. The restaurant had sparrows flying around and landing on food, it was so bad they had to release a hawk to scare off the birds. The food was so good that it was our first holiday that we all came back a stone lighter. After complaining we were moved to another room the following day, again light fittings hanging off, bathroom door missing & giant sized cockroaches were regular visitors in the bathroom. VERY POOR!!!
